Engagement has concluded

Gloucestershire County Council believe our day centres and overnight respite services have an essential role in providing opportunities for people to enjoy activities when away from their families, to make friends and build on their skills. These services enable families and carers to have a break from their caring role and as such help people to remain in their own homes in the community.

We are reviewing our County Council services to ensure we are ready to meet the needs of the future population of Gloucestershire and to make sure we are using the resources as efficiently as possible. Your feedback is essential in helping us understand what is good about the services and what could be improved. We want to explore how these services support individuals and families and carers, to ensure they are fit for purpose and capable of meeting future demand.

During this project we will engage with individuals, families and carers, engage with stakeholders and partners (e.g. colleagues in the NHS), engage with the staff who work in the services and engage with professionals (e.g. Social Work Teams) to understand the efficiency and effectiveness of Gloucestershire County Councils “in-house” services. We will discuss whether they meet the needs and future needs of family carers and the individuals they support.

How to respond

Please only fill in the survey that is relevant to you. For example, if you care for someone who attends one of the services, complete the ‘survey for carers and individuals who have experience of the services.’

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. Once we have reviewed your comments, we will share our report and findings with you.

Please refer to the introduction to each survey for more information.

Online surveys will close on Sunday 8 January 2023.

All surveys can be available as a hard copy. To request a hard copy, please email jake.graham@gloucestershire.gov.uk or telephone 01452-324374.
