Survey for carers and individuals who have experience of the services
Gloucestershire County Council believe our day centres and overnight respite services have an essential role in providing opportunities for people to enjoy activities when away from their families, to make friends and build on their skills. These services enable families and carers to have a break from their caring role and as such help people to remain in their own homes in the community.
We are reviewing our County Council services to ensure we are ready to meet the needs of the future population of Gloucestershire and to make sure we are using the resources as efficiently as possible. As part of the review we want to gather views from families and carers who know and use the services. Your feedback is essential in helping us understand what is good about the services and what could be improved. We want to explore how these services support individuals and families and carers, to ensure they are fit for purpose and capable of meeting future demand.
During this project we will engage with individuals, families and carers, engage with stakeholders and partners (e.g. colleagues in the NHS), engage with the staff who work in the services and engage with professionals (e.g. Social Work Teams) to understand the efficiency and effectiveness of Gloucestershire County Councils “in-house” services. We will discuss whether they meet the needs and future needs of family carers and the Individuals they support.
