Consultation has concluded
Gloucestershire County Council are seeking views on plans to expand Twyning Primary School from a PAN of 15 (105 places) to a PAN of 20 (140 places) from September 2024 in order to provide additional primary places for the local community.
The Local Authority (LA) has a statutory duty to ensure there are sufficient primary school places in the local area to meet future demand. With the rise in the number of under-fives in the county, along with pockets of small developments in the local area, supporting the need for additional places.
The proposal for an increase in the Reception Year intake for September 2024 will not affect the size of the other year groups at that time. All other year groups would remain at their current size as they progress through the school.
A feasibility study will be undertaken to determine the required accommodation to support the expansion.
