A sum of money is available to spend on Tewkesbury Library. We wish to engage with our community in Tewkesbury to better understand their aspirations and hopes for our Library to ensure that any money is spent in the best way to support this community.
The money identified will be utilised to enhance the environment within the Library and make it a vibrant and welcoming space. Our focus is on providing a real hub for the community and we are intending to provide distinct areas for the following:
study area with computers and Wifi
Adult book collection
Children’s Library
an area for teens and young adults
a Local History area
a community area where talks, exhibitions and workshops could take place during opening hours.
A technology area, The Lab, has already been installed on the ground floor.
We have already installed a partition to separate the quiet study area from sections which might generate noise. We will also work with our Librarian team to ensure that the stock we are sourcing for Tewkesbury meets the interests of the community.
Please complete the survey by 5pm, on r Saturday 14th May 2022
