As part of our ongoing commitment to making GCC a great place to work for everyone, we are reviewing our Family Friendly policies to ensure they remain supportive, inclusive and reflective of the diverse needs of our workforce. These policies play an important role in helping colleagues balance their work and personal responsibilities, and we want to make sure they are clear, accessible and easy to use.

This review forms part of our wider cultural development journey, one that is informed by staff feedback and aligned with our organisational values of integrity, respect and continuous improvement. It also supports our aim of strengthening our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across all employment practices.

We are inviting your feedback on the policies and their associated Equality Impact Assessments (EQIAs). Your views will help us ensure that the policies are effective, inclusive and supportive for all colleagues, including those with caring responsibilities, those growing their families and those managing different life stages.

We encourage you to:

  • Review the policies
  • Share any comments, concerns or suggestions using the consultation survey
  • Highlight areas where the policies could be clearer, more user‑friendly or better reflect colleagues’ experiences

Your feedback is essential in helping us shape policies that genuinely support our workforce and promote an inclusive and positive working environment for all.
