Engagement has concluded
Healthwatch Gloucestershire (HWG) is the consumer champion for people who use health and social care services in Gloucestershire. Their purpose is to collect your opinions and experiences to inform and influence those who run your health and social care services. They also provide information and advice about local health and care services to help inform your choices about health and care.
Healthwatch Gloucestershire relies on volunteers to support their work around gathering people’s views, visiting health and social care services and representing the local community at boards and committees.
What Healthwatch Gloucestershire do
Find out what you think about health and social care services.
Visit services to talk to people and look at how things are done. This is called Enter and View.
Signpost people where to go to find out about services.
Help you hold services to account.
Suggest how services can be improved based on your feedback.
What we want to know
Although Healthwatch Gloucestershire is independent, each local authority has to design and commission its own service. The current contract is coming to an end in March 2024 and we want to reach out to the communities of Gloucestershire to help us decide on the shape of our next Healthwatch contract and procure a new Healthwatch Gloucestershire for April 2024 onwards. In particular, we would like to know your views on:
How your feedback and experiences can best be used to improve the quality of health and social care services.
How to make it easier to contact and receive information from Healthwatch Gloucestershire.
What would make Healthwatch Gloucestershire a place that people want to volunteer.
