PLEASE NOTE: This scheme is only for children who are eligible for pupil premium free school meals, which is benefits-related.
The scheme is not available for children who receive the universal infants FSM offer that is available for those in reception to year 2. Please do not apply if your children are not eligible for means-tested free school meals.
This application form is specifically designed to support Children who are entitled to Free School Meals over holiday periods, where no other provision is available.
Gloucestershire County Council will provide families in receipt of Free School Meals, who sign up to this offer, with vouchers to assist with food costs during the school holidays. The holiday voucher scheme is funded through the household support fund, short-term and temporary grant funding. This support does not cover Children eligible for Universal Free School Meals or in Further Education (College, Sixth Form or Apprenticeship).
If you have previously received free school meal vouchers during holiday periods, then you do not need to apply again.
This scheme is not affiliated with Eden Red in any way. If you have only received vouchers during term time, you will still need apply to our scheme to receive the half term vouchers.
If your child is currently not eligible for Free School Meals, but you feel that your personal and financial situation has changed and you would like to apply for term-time Free School Meals, check your eligibility and apply(External link).
Please note: if this is your situation, you will not be eligible through this grant.

Information collected during the application process will be used to assess an applicants’ claim. Information will be cross matched with other data held by the Council and third-party agencies e.g., DWP, HMRC for verification purposes.
In assessing a claim, it may be appropriate to make referrals within the Council or to external agencies to provide advice or support.
To allow the council to communicate and provide services appropriate to your needs, for example Free School Meal applications.
The Council may also share data with both internal and external organisations for the purposes of validating any applications or support you may make or have made for other Council services such as Housing Applications, School Placements, Homeless Applications etc. Please note that this list is not exhaustive.
Subject to a legal gateway, your information may also be shared for the prevention of fraud and criminal activity with (list not exhaustive):
- The police
- Immigration Service, Absconder Services and/or UK Border Agency
- Health and social care organisations
- Other Local Authorities
