Background
Healthwatch Gloucestershire is the consumer champion for people who use health and social care services in Gloucestershire. The purpose of Healthwatch Gloucestershire is to collect the opinions and experiences of people who use health and social care services to inform and influence those who run these services.
Healthwatch Gloucestershire are required to foster good relationships and work in partnership with local stakeholders in the health and care system including commissioners and provider agencies in the statutory, voluntary, and private sectors, to ensure the public’s voice is able to influence decisions around the way that health and social care services are commissioned and provided.
Although Healthwatch Gloucestershire is independent, each local authority has to design and commission its own service. The current contract is coming to an end in March 2024 and we want to gather feedback from a variety of partners who have worked with Healthwatch Gloucestershire to understand what aspects of the service are working well and what could be improved, to ensure that we design and commission a Healthwatch that is right for the future.
