Help shape the future of transport in Gloucestershire

Welcome

Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) is preparing an updated Local Transport Plan (LTP). The Plan will guide how transport is planned, managed and improved across the county over the next 15 years and beyond.

Transport plays an important role in everyday life, helping people access employment, education, healthcare, shops and essential services, while supporting local communities, businesses and the economy.

Earlier this year, we asked people across Gloucestershire about their experiences of the transport network, the challenges they face and their priorities for the future.

This feedback has helped shape the updated draft LTP. We’ve included a ‘You said, we listened’ summary on this page where you can find out how feedback has been taken onboard.

What’s happening now?

We would now like to understand whether the draft Plan sets the right direction for Gloucestershire and reflects what you told us.

The consultation is open from Thursday 1 October to Sunday 15 November 2026. Your feedback will help us refine the Plan before it is finalised and adopted.

You can read the full draft Plan and supporting documents at XXXXX or find a copy at your local library.
