Survey has concluded
Introduction
Gloucestershire has a rich military history, including the Glorious Glosters, RAF Innsworth, HMS Gloucester, the airfields and munitions factories of WW1 and WW2, leading up to the current six military bases. There are also Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army and Royal Air Force veterans in the county as well serving personnel from adjacent counties living within Gloucestershire.
However, Gloucestershire does not currently have an Armed Forces Community Hub/Drop-In, like those available in many UK counties, such as the Veterans Support Centre in Herefordshire and Manchester.
A new Gloucestershire Working Group has been set up to establish a Gloucestershire Armed Forces Community Hub/Drop-In to include all Armed Forces Communities; Serving Full Time, Reservists, Veterans, Cadet Force Instructors and also their families (including the multinational units and their families based in our great county).
Aims of the survey
To collect views and evidence on whether a county-wide Gloucestershire Armed Forces Community Hub/Drop-In is needed.
To incorporate the voices of members of Armed Forces Communities into the design and running of the hub.
The survey will take around 5 minutes to complete.
On behalf of Gloucestershire Armed Forces Communities, we appreciate your time in completing this survey by 18 November 2022.
