Thank you to everyone who took the time to contribute to the Time & Motion Study (TMS) that was conducted across all Whole Time (WT) watches during October/ November 2022.

The aim of the study was to provide insight into differences in working practices, identify capacity issues, and ensure that we are making the best use of our time to meet the needs of both our workforce and the communities we serve.

Following the study, three TMS workshops were held across our Service during February and March 2023 and an update was published in Ever Forward: issue 12.

The study, analysis and wider conversations revealed that there are variations in the way the stations and watches use their time.

Conversations have since taken place around implementing and shaping a Station Framework. This Station Framework would provide clarity of expectations, clear deliverables and would be created with a flexible and dynamic approach that considers the needs of our communities.

I would like to invite you to complete the following short survey.

The closing date for this survey is 25 August 2023.

Once all responses have been collated and reviewed, we will provide an update on the results and next steps.

Thank you for your continued support.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Nathaniel Hooton
