Do you provide support to someone who would be unable to manage without your help?

This Carers Week (5-11 June 2023) aims to raise awareness of the caring role and the challenges carers face.

Are you a carer?
A carer is somebody of any age, who provides support or who looks after a family member, partner or friend who need help because of frailty, physical or mental illness, or disability. This would not usually include someone paid or employed to carry out that role or someone who is a volunteer.

According to the 2021 Census, there was approximately 52,000 people providing unpaid care in Gloucestershire, this is equivalent to 8.5% of the population. Many do not identify themselves as being a carer and are not aware of the support available.

Balancing work and caring commitments can be challenging and as your employer we recognise the importance of supporting you to manage this challenge.

To help us to help you in your caring role, please complete the confidential, quick online survey below. Your opinion matters to us and your feedback will be used to help us improve the support for carers within the workplace.

The survey will close at 5pm on 19 June 2023.

Thank you for your support.
