As part of our commitment to supporting colleagues through all stages of life, we have introduced a new Bereaved Partner's Paternity Leave Policy. This policy reflects a new statutory entitlement introduced from April 2026 and sets out the support available to employees whose child's primary carer dies within the first year following birth or adoption.
We recognise that bereavement can be one of the most difficult experiences a person may face. The policy has been developed to ensure colleagues are supported with compassion, dignity and understanding during exceptionally challenging circumstances. It also supports our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where colleagues feel valued and supported when they need it most.
